About the founder
I’m Barbra Barbour, founder of MemberSpark. I’m a web designer and content strategist who has built sites on just about every platform, from hand-coded HTML to Wild Apricot and WordPress. For the last four years I’ve worked entirely inside association life: content strategy, membership portals, community forums, email, and the redesigns that tie it all together. I love figuring out what makes a member want to stay.
MemberSpark grew out of those four years inside an association management company, working with associations of real scale, some with thousands of members and multi-million dollar budgets. I saw how much an AMC carries: events, finances, renewals, member questions. I also saw that content, email and the website often need more dedicated hours than anyone has to give. That’s the gap I fill, alongside your team or your AMC.
